Changelog

We're constantly shipping. Here is a rundown of the latest updates and improvements to Polymer.

January 31, 2026

Customer API (Beta)

We've launched an authenticated Customer API that lets you access your hiring data programmatically. You can retrieve jobs (with their hiring stages and custom questions), candidates, and job applications. For each job application, you can also retrieve comments, reviews, hiring stage history, and message threads. All list endpoints support pagination and filtering by records updated since a given timestamp, making it easy to build custom reporting dashboards or sync incremental changes with other tools.

The API also supports bulk resume exports for any job. Start an export, poll for progress, and download all resumes as a ZIP file when complete. Each resume is named with the candidate's name and job application ID for easy reference.

Admins can generate and manage their own API keys from the settings page. The API is currently in beta. If you'd like access, reach out to us and we'll get you set up. You can view the api docs here.

Write endpoints for candidates, job applications, and more are coming in Phase 2.

Other improvements & fixes

  • Job Published emails now include distribution status details and are sent to all admins, not just the organization owner

LinkedIn Status in Job Setup

You can now see your LinkedIn distribution status directly in Job Setup. A new section shows whether your job meets LinkedIn's requirements and provides real-time feedback if anything needs to be updated before your listing can be distributed.

Job Publish Success Modal

When you publish a job, a new success modal now appears with helpful next steps. You'll see where your job is being distributed, quick links to share on social media, and other actions to help you get the word out.

Other improvements & fixes

  • Updated all Twitter references to X throughout the application
  • Fixed an issue where Google Translate caused problems with the message editor
  • Deprecated the "Remote friendly" option to improve compatibility with third-party job boards (existing jobs using this option are unaffected)

WhatJobs Job Board Integration

You can now purchase and publish premium job listings on WhatJobs directly from Polymer. At a flat rate of $175, it's a great way to get your roles in front of a larger audience. Listings can be previewed before publishing, and Polymer shows the current status of your listing so you always know where things stand. UTM tracking is automatically added to job URLs so you can measure results.

This integration is available for US-based job postings. You can find it in the Distribution section within Job Setup.

Display Subscriber Count in App

You can now see how many people have subscribed to job alerts on your careers page. The subscriber count displays at the top of the app, giving you visibility into how your job board audience is growing.

Careers Page Style Refresh

We've refreshed the look of your careers page with updated styling for a more modern feel. Banners and job videos now display more prominently, tags include icons for improved readability, and we've improved mobile responsiveness throughout. All of this uses your existing customization settings and assets – no action required.

X Hiring & LinkedIn Distribution Controls

You now have granular control over where your jobs are distributed. Individual toggles let you enable or disable X Hiring and LinkedIn separately, and dedicated tabs in Job Setup make it easy to manage each platform's settings.

Other improvements & fixes

  • Fixed character count display issues in text fields

Publish One Job for Free

Polymer now offers a free plan that lets you publish one job at no cost. New organizations are automatically started on the free plan – no credit card required. When you're ready to publish more jobs, you can upgrade from the Plan & Billing section.

Webhook for Published Jobs

A new webhook event fires whenever a job is published, allowing you to trigger custom automations in external systems.

Spanish, French & German Localization

Spanish, French, and German have been added as language options for job board localization. We also fixed incorrect language codes for Dutch and Swedish. We continue to take requests for additional languages.

CSV Export – Date Moved to Stage

Candidate exports now include a "Date moved to current stage" column, making it easier to calculate time-to-hire and track how long candidates spend in each stage.

Skip Hiring Stage Automations

When moving candidates between stages, you can now choose to skip any automated messages configured for the destination stage. This option appears when using the "Move to Stage" button, as well as in the Move to Stage and Bulk Move modals – useful when you're reorganizing candidates and don't want to trigger emails.

Organization Data Export

You can now export your entire organization's hiring data in one go. Export jobs, candidates, and job applications as separate CSV files or bundled together in a single ZIP. For large datasets, exports are processed in the background and you'll receive an email with a download link when it's ready.

This can be initiated from the Organization section in App Settings.

Other improvements & fixes

  • A new CandidateLastName variable is available in message templates for more formal communications
  • Limited visible toast notifications to two at a time to prevent screen clutter

February 19, 2025

Additional Employment Type

A new "Full-time or Part-time" option has been added to employment types, giving you more flexibility when the role could go either way.

Other improvements & fixes

  • Password reset now redirects to the login page instead of the magic link page
  • Fixed an issue where dates like "27. February" were incorrectly formatted in messages

Slack Notification Granular Controls

You now have separate settings for new application notifications and channel message notifications in your Slack integration. Additionally, when candidates reply via your messaging channel, those messages now post to Slack as well.

  • Fixed an issue where duplicate notification toasts appeared when switching organizations

Webflow API v2 Upgrade

We've upgraded our Webflow integration to API v2 ahead of Webflow's deprecation of v1. For most users, this happened automatically with no action required. If you need to reconnect your Webflow account, you'll see a prompt in your integration settings. The upgrade includes more reliable field mapping.

This upgrade also includes significantly improved error handling. You'll now see more specific error messages when something goes wrong – validation errors, not found errors, and conflicts are all clearly identified. When syncing all jobs, you'll see success and failure counts along with unique error messages for each issue.

Other improvements & fixes

  • Fixed an issue where changing a job's location or category wasn't syncing to Webflow

Custom Questions – Admin Only Visibility

Custom application questions can now be marked as "Admin only." When enabled, responses to these questions are hidden from team members with the Member role – useful for sensitive information like salary expectations or background check consent. Admin-only responses are also excluded from Zapier triggers and webhooks.

Compensation Privacy Setting

You can now make compensation information visible only to admins on a per-job basis. When enabled, team members with the Member role won't see salary or wage details in the candidate profile.

Other improvements & fixes

  • Fixed an issue that could cause duplicate email messages when using bulk messaging

Swedish Added as an Option for Job Board Localization

Swedish has been added as a language option for job board localization. We are still taking requests for additional languages.

Added reCAPTCHA to Login Form

reCAPTCHA has been added to the Login and Sign-Up form to improve site security by protecting against spammers.

  • Updating your plan in Polymer now opens the Stripe portal, allowing you to confirm all amounts and change your payment method if desired.
  • You can now add a promo code yourself when checking out.
  • The UI has been updated in "Plan & billing" to more prominently display any applied promo codes.
  • You can now access your billing details and invoices even after canceling your Polymer plan.

Hiring Stage Message Automations

You can now configure message automations for each hiring stage, allowing a template-based email message to be triggered when a candidate is moved to that stage.

The basic setup involves selecting a message template for the automation and choosing whether to send the message "once" or "every time" a candidate enters a stage. Automations can be easily enabled, disabled, or edited for any hiring stage via the Automations tab in Job Setup.

Additionally, the user interface now includes an info box wherever you can move a candidate, informing you if an automation is active.

Application Question Answers to Review Kit

Application question answers submitted by candidates through the application form are now included in the Review Kit. This provides more information to those with the Reviewer role and ensures that candidate information is readily available during interviews or when writing up interview notes.

Disable 3rd Party Distribution for Individual Jobs

You can now opt individual jobs out of third-party distributions, such as LinkedIn and X Hiring, directly in Job Setup. This allows for more granular control over which job posts are shared.

LinkedIn Integration

A new LinkedIn integration is now available, allowing you to automatically post your Polymer job listings to the Jobs tab on your company's LinkedIn page. Once enabled, any updates or changes you make in Polymer will be reflected on LinkedIn, typically within a few hours, ensuring your job posts stay current.

This integration uses LinkedIn’s "Limited Listings," meaning you can post jobs for free, but you will not be able to promote these listings directly through LinkedIn. To enable this feature, head to the Integrations section in your Account Settings.

For detailed setup instructions, refer to our documentation.

X Hiring Integration

We have launched an integration with X Hiring beta, allowing you to post your jobs for free on X's platform and organically reach millions of relevant candidates.

For Verified Organizations on X, you can link jobs to your profile and feature roles by reaching out to X Hiring support. For non-Verified Organizations, your published Polymer job posts will automatically appear in X's job search but will not be connected to any specific profile.

For more details, see our documentation.

Select candidates for bulk actions

We improved bulk actions for candidates by adding ability to select or deselect candidates in a hiring stage before sending a bulk message, or bulk moving candidates to a different stage.

Candidate uploads

A new custom question type has been added that allows candidates to upload files to their applications. Supported file types include audio files, image files, excel/csv, word/pdf (document) and txt files.

Other improvements & fixes

  • Added list-unsubscribed header to all emails to improve deliverability
  • An issue where some incoming candidate messages were parsed incorrectly is fixed

Review Request

Review Requests allow hiring team members to request candidate reviews from any member of the organization with any user role. This will send an email to the organization email with a link directly to the review page for that candidate!

Any hiring team member can request a review via email address from someone who is not yet a member of the organization. By clicking on the review link in the email they will be added to the organization as an interviewer.

Interviewer Role

The interviewer role is geared towards individuals who don’t need or want to be added to a job’s hiring team, but will interview a candidate. This role allows individual candidate review requests to be sent to “interviewers” which will give them access to that candidates review kit page and nothing else. This allows them to easily submit reviews.

Other improvements & fixes

  • Hiring Team Members are able to delete custom questions no matter their user role
  • If the owner of an organization update’s their information, it will now be properly updated for Stripe/Billing (shows on the invoices and receipts)
